First Front Door (FFD) Program

First Front Door (FFD) offers invaluable down payment and closing cost assistance tailored to eligible first-time homebuyers. Powered by participating FHLBank Pittsburgh (FHLBank) members, FFD extends a helping hand through first mortgage financing.
Invest a minimum of $1,500 towards the down payment and closing costs and prospective homeowners can access a generous FFD grant, reaching up to $15,000.
Who Qualifies for FFD Funding?
Qualified first-time homebuyers have the flexibility to utilize FFD grants for both the down payment and closing costs.
Each prospective homebuyer is required to:
- Be a first-time homebuyer; A person who has not owned a single-family home used as their primary residence in the last three years
- Contribute personal funds as part of the down payment and closing costs. Minimum personal funds contributed = $1,500.
- Have household income at or below 80 percent of the area median income at the time of registration.
- Complete at least four hours of homeownership counseling, including the topic of predatory lending, before the purchase of the home.
- If a student, they must work at least 30 hours a week.
The program begins April 16th and is available for a limited time.
